For the past three years, I, Charlene Persaud, RPA-C, has been a dedicated and integral member of the inpatient Vascular Surgery team at Stony Brook Medicine in Stony Brook, New York. My role as a Physician Assistant provides comprehensive care to patients requiring both urgent and complex vascular interventions within a high-acuity hospital setting.
I work collaboratively with vascular surgeons, residents, advanced practice providers, nurses, and multidisciplinary specialists to deliver exceptional patient care. I have developed extensive experience managing conditions such as peripheral arterial disease, aortic aneurysms, venous disorders, carotid disease, and acute limb ischemia. My clinical practice includes pre- and postoperative assessment, patient education, bedside procedural assistance, and the coordination of care throughout each stage of hospitalization.

I have contributed to care-quality improvements within the vascular surgery service and continually pursues professional development to remain current with advances in the field.
Driven by a passion for improving patient outcomes and supporting individuals through some of their most vulnerable moments, I will continue to exemplify excellence, empathy, and professionalism in inpatient vascular surgical care.
