Kathleen J. Ozsvath, MD, a board-certified vascular surgeon, providing comprehensive vascular services, with diagnosis and treatment of peripheral arterial disease, cerebrovascular disease, aneurysms, and venous disease including the treatment of superficial and deep venous disease, chronic venous disease and pelvic venous pathology.
Dr Ozsvath earned her medical degree at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She completed surgical residency at St. Luke’s - Roosevelt Hospital Center, Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. She completed the vascular surgery fellowship at Albany Medical Center, NY. She became a partner at the The Vascular Group in 2004. In 2018, she joined the Vascular Associates at St Peters Health Partners. Dr. Ozsvath is Chief of Surgery at Samaritan Hospital, Troy, NY.
An active researcher, Dr Ozsvath has participated in many clinical trials, authored research papers and abstracts published peer-reviewed journals and written many book chapters. She has lectured regionally, nationally and internationally.
Very involved in the American Venous Forum, she serves as Secretary on the Executive Board. She helped organize the first community service event at AVF 2024. Looking forward to a wonderful event at the 2026 annual meeting! The Advanced Provider Program has developed into an important part of the annual meeting, partnering with leaders in the APP field, the program will surely be a big success.
A fellow of the American College of Surgeons, Dr Ozsvath has been an active member of the ABS vascular board as an examiner.
Dr. Ozsvath is a Past President of the Eastern Vascular Society. Currently, she serves as the Vice President of the International Society of Women Vascular Surgeons. She also serves on the executive board of the Vein and Lymphatic University.
Dr. Ozsvath is a mentor who is interested in issues specific to women in surgery.
Dr. Ozsvath is a proud mother of an accomplished daughter.
